Netflix New Release: TYPEWRITER Is Being Helmed By The Filmfare and National Award Winning Director Sujoy Ghosh

Netflix is gaining so much popularity in India that the streaming giant has recently announced India as its primary and potential audience target for expansion in Asia as compared to other Asian countries. This OTT giant relentlessly serves us with some marvelous content. Just like other content, Netflix again comes up with another excellent content named TYPEWRITER.

Netflix original series Typewriter is directed and written by Filmfare and National Award Winning Bengali director Sujoy Ghosh. Yes, he is a very well known film Kahaani director. The new web series Typewriter stars Aarna Sharma, Aaryansh Malviya, Mikail Gandhi.

Netflix has already seen the success of Indian Origin Netflix Originals like Sacred Games, Lust Stories and Ghoul. Then, there were other know Original films like Love Per Square Foot and Brij Mohan Amar Rahe.

However, ‘Typewriter’ is a horror series with the backdrop in Goa. It casts Aarna Sharma, Jisu Sengupta, Sara Gesawat, Palomi Ghosh, Purab Kohli, Sameer Kochhar, Palash Kamble, Mikail Gandhi. The story deals with three young friends in Goa who plan to search an old villa for ghosts, but when a new family moves in, the home’s buried past resurfaces in chilling ways.

On the last November, in What’s Next: Asia which was held in Singapore, Netflix announced new titles and trailers upcoming. Interestingly, eight Original films and two series were there for India. ‘ Typewriter’ was one of them.

Apart from that, there are Original films like Chopsticks featuring Abhay Deol, Vijay Raaz, and Mithila Palkar. Then, there is a film ‘Bulbul’ which is a period film along with Priyanka Chopra produced film Fireband. These are released in 2019.

Not to forget, the prequel of Baahubali titled as Baahubali: Before the Beginning. Another interesting series just released in 2019 titled as ‘Leila’ featuring Huma Qureshi to catch up on the streaming. A total of ten new original Indian movies apart from previously announced films like “Music Teacher”, “Cobalt Blue”, “Upstarts” and “Bulbul” will also be available in the Netflix’s content library by the end of 2020.

However, Typewriter will release in July 2019.
